Natural or lab-grown?

Both are diamonds. Your best choice depends on what you value most: rarity and geological origin, or greater size flexibility at a given budget.

Origin Formed in the earth over a very long geological period. Created in a controlled environment using technology that grows diamond crystal.
Material Diamond crystal with the optical, chemical, and physical properties associated with diamond. Also diamond crystal—not cubic zirconia or moissanite.
Budget Often selected for natural origin, rarity, and tradition. Can offer more size or specification flexibility within the same budget.
Disclosure Identified and documented as natural; treatments, if any, must be disclosed. Always identified clearly as laboratory-grown; treatments, if any, must be disclosed.

  • Rush service, when available, may add 20% and requires written approval.
  • Custom rings are final sale except in the case of a verified defect.
  • Final price and timing depend on the approved design, materials, diamond availability, and production schedule.

How much will my finished ring cost?

Your final price depends on the approved design, 18K gold weight, diamond or gemstone specifications, setting complexity, and current material availability. You will receive a written quote before moving forward.

Is the $250 retainer an extra charge?

No. The design retainer is credited toward your completed ring. It becomes nonrefundable once design work begins because it covers the consultation and design process.

How long does a custom ring take?

The general estimate is 6–10 weeks after final design approval and required payment. A specific delivery estimate is confirmed in writing for your order. Rush service may not always be available.

Can I choose a natural or lab-grown diamond?

Yes. Your specialist can discuss both options, including specifications, disclosures, grading information, availability, and how each choice fits your priorities and budget.

Can I use my own diamond or gemstone?

DGJ is not accepting customer-owned stones during the initial launch period. This policy may be reviewed in the future.

Can I return a custom ring?

Because each ring is made to approved specifications, custom rings are final sale except in the case of a verified defect. Please review every approval carefully before production begins.
